Delete your account, or your data.
Updated 30 September 2026
You can delete your account yourself in about a minute, in the app or in any web browser, or ask us by email. This page says what deleting removes, what stays without your details, and what is removed on its own even if you never ask.
What deleting your account does
- Cancels your tickets for events still to come and releases the seats.
- Cancels meetings you booked with sponsors, and tells the sponsor.
- Removes the records sponsors made by scanning your ticket from this app. A sponsor keeps any copy it already exported and is responsible for it.
- Removes your notification subscriptions, favourites, dietary and accessibility answers, and every signed-in session on every device.
- Strips your name and email address from your tickets and purchases.
- Closes the account itself: the record is emptied and marked deleted, so the address is free to sign up again as a brand-new account with nothing attached.
What stays, without your details
- The numbers organisers need: ticket counts, check-in times and payment references, none of them carrying your name or email.
- Session ratings and comments you gave, which were already anonymous to organisers and now link to nobody.
Do it yourself, in the app or in any browser
The app is this website, so you do not need it installed. Open the same address in any browser, on any device:
- Open the event’s More page (links below).
- Sign in with your email address. There is no password: we send a link and a 6-digit code.
- Scroll to the bottom of More and choose Delete my account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then choose Delete my account again.
You have one account across every event in this app, so doing this once, from any event, deletes it everywhere.
Two reasons the app will say no, and what to do
- You hold a paid ticket for an event that has not happened yet. The app never handles refunds, so it will not cancel a paid seat. Ask the event’s organiser to refund the ticket first (their address is on the More page under Get in touch, and in the list below), then delete your account.
- Your account has an organiser, steward, sponsor-rep or platform-admin role. Roles are given by someone else, so someone else removes them. Ask the event organiser, or the platform at privacy@duncanboyne.co.uk, to remove the role first, then delete your account.
Or ask us by email
Email privacy@duncanboyne.co.uk from the address you signed in with and say whether you want your account deleted or just a copy of your data. We answer within one month.
The organiser of each event is the data controller for that event, so you can also write to them directly; each event’s privacy notice names them.

Deleted without you asking
- Dietary and accessibility answers: deleted 30 days after the event.
- Details a sponsor collected by scanning your ticket: the copy held in this app is deleted 3 months after the event, or with your account, whichever is first. The sponsor keeps its own copy for its own follow-up.
- Your email address shared with a sponsor when you booked a meeting: withdrawn from the sponsor 3 months after the event, or with your account, whichever is first. The booking itself stays as the sponsor's record of the meeting (your name, company, job title and topic), and the sponsor keeps any copy it already exported.
- Account, tickets, favourites and session feedback: until you delete your account or 12 months after the last event you took part in has ended, whichever is first. Expiry removes the account the same way as deleting it yourself, and a ticket for a later event keeps the account until 12 months after that one. When your account is deleted or expires, its tickets are cancelled and your name and email are removed from them; your session ratings stay with nothing linking them to you; and the numbers organisers need (ticket counts, check-ins, payment references) are kept without your details.
